Severe Weather Service Transportation Possible Delay Alert
February 10, 2010 (Southeast Metro Detroit) – All weekday SMART bus service is currently operating today. However, due to the weather and road conditions, SMART bus routes may experience some delays as rush hour develops but is running full service. Passengers with scheduled Connector trips should call SMART to verify their trip Passengers with scheduled Community Transit trips should contact their local Community Transit Operator to verify their trip.
SMART will operate its regular scheduled service; however, passengers should be prepared for possible time delays. Passengers can verify Weather Alert Information at SMART’s website at www.smartbus.org or by calling Customer Service at (866) 962-5515 between 6:30 and 6:00pm.
Safety is our first priority for our passengers and drivers. Passengers should dress appropriately and wear an extra layer to make the wait for the bus more comfortable. Remember, there may be delays. Stand at a safe place near the bus stop, away from the street. Do not board or exit the bus until it has come to a complete stop. Please be patient with our drivers as they do their best to make sure you arrive at your destination and drive safely through the winter storm.
