Beginning Monday, January 6, 2025, Route 261 FAST Michigan will now serve 14^th Street outside Michigan Central Station!

Newly served FAST stops are located as follows:

Eastbound:  Just before Michigan & 14^th Street, at Roosevelt Park.

Westbound: Just past Michigan & 14^th Street, outside the old CPA Building.

Effective January 6, 2025, Route 730 10 Mile has new extended AM and PM hours on weekdays. Runtimes have also been adjusted for improved on-time performance.

Effective Thursday, December 12, the bus stops on westbound Michigan Ave just east of Wayne Rd will no longer be served by Route 210 buses. Only Route 200 buses will serve this stop.

Passengers desiring to board/deboard westbound Route 210 buses in this area may do so on Michigan Ave and 2^nd, or Wayne Rd north of Michigan Ave.

Construction work on 8 Mile Rd at Telegraph Rd has been completed. Therefore, Routes 275 & 375 will resume regular route effective immediately.

Effective Friday, November 29, 2024, buses will no longer serve the Taylor Meijer bus stop, south of the Meijer garden center. Routes 125 Fort St/Eureka, 160 Downriver, and 275 Telegraph will have new routing in the Southland Mall area as follows:

125 Fort St/Eureka Rd

Northbound (to River Rouge): Regular route to eastbound Eureka past driveway next to David’s Bridal, left Pardee, right driveway into Southland Mall outer roadway, regular route.

Southbound (to Metro Airport): Regular route to Southland Mall bus shelter, continue east to driveway onto Racho, right Racho, right Eureka past driveway next to David’s Bridal, regular route.

160 Downriver

Northbound: Regular route to WB Eureka, right Pardee, right driveway into Southland Mall outer roadway, regular route.

Southbound: Regular route to SB Pardee, left driveway by Target into Southland Mall outer roadway, follow driveways to Southland Mall bus shelter, continue east to Racho, regular route.

275 S. Telegraph

Northbound: All trips now begin at the Southland Mall bus shelter, next to the northeast mall entrance by JC Penney, proceed on regular route.

Southbound: Regular route to Southland Mall bus shelter. The final stop is now the Southland Mall bus shelter; service does not continue west to Meijer.

Routes 125 and 160 passengers may board the nearest stop at NB Pardee & Eureka; Route 275 passengers may use the Southland Mall bus shelter or use Pardee & Superior.

Due to construction in the vicinity of northbound Van Dyke Ave just past 9 Mile, the bus stop at this location will be temporarily relocated northward, in front of the Shell gas station, effective Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

On Monday, October 28, 2024, the FAST bus stop located on eastbound Michigan Ave, just east of 11^th will be relocated east of Trumbull, in front of The Godfrey.

Due to the closure of Lakeside Mall the bus stop at the mall entrance as well as the stop on eastbound Hall Rd east of Schoenherr will be closing on Monday, October 21, 2024.  Routes 510 Van Dyke, 530 Schoenherr, and 550 Garfield will no longer pull up to Lakeside Mall but will instead use the stops on Southcove Drive at Kohl’s and McDonald’s as their starting and ending points.  Routes will be redirected to these stops as follows:

Northbound 510 Van Dyke: Regular route to Schoenherr Rd, right Schoenherr Rd, left turn back past Southcove Dr (fourth turn back from Hall) to northbound Schoenherr Rd, right Southcove Dr, end route at stop on eastbound Southcove Dr at McDonald’s.

Southbound 510 Van Dyke: Begin route at stop on westbound Southcove Dr at Kohl’s, right Schoenherr Rd, right Hall Rd, left first turn back to westbound Hall Rd, regular route.

Northbound 530 Schoenherr: Regular route to eastbound Southcove Dr, end route on Southcove Dr at McDonald’s stop.

Southbound 530 Schoenherr: Begin route at stop on westbound Southcove Dr at Kohl’s, regular route.

Northbound 550 Garfield: Regular route to westbound Shoreline Dr, left Lakeside Circle, left Southcove Dr, end route at Kohl’s stop.

Southbound 550 Garfield: Begin route on westbound Southcove Dr at Kohl’s stop, right Schoenherr Rd, right Waterbury Dr, right Lakeside Circle, right Shoreline Dr, regular route.

Due to construction in the vicinity of eastbound Jefferson Ave at Mill, the eastbound bus stop located in this area has been temporarily closed, effective immediately.

Due to the closure of the ramp from northbound M-10 to westbound I-696, Route 851 West Bloomfield-Farmington Hills P & R will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Southbound:  Will operate on regular route.

Northbound:  Regular route to northbound M-10 past exit to I-696, left 1^st turnback past 12 Mile Rd, continue straight across onto Franklin Rd, right 12 Mile Rd, left Orchard Lake Rd past I-696, regular route.

Due to construction on northbound 11 Mile Rd, Route 405 Northwestern Hwy will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Westbound:  Regular route to westbound Civic Center Dr past Central Park Blvd, right Northwestern Hwy Service Dr, right Lahser Rd, past 11 Mile Rd, regular route.

Eastbound:  Will operate on regular routing.

Beginning September 2, 2024 Route 740 Twelve Mile will continue the same routing it has followed on Twelve Mile in front of 12 Oaks Mall and will not pull into 12 Oaks Mall until further notice. This routing is as follows:

Eastbound: Regular route past Novi Rd, continue straight to stop on eastbound 12 Mile Rd past 12 Oaks Mall Rd, regular route.

Westbound:  Regular route to westbound 12 Mile to Meadowbrook Rd, left at fourth turnback past Meadowbrook Rd at McDonald’s to eastbound 12 Mile, service eastbound stop at 12 Oaks Mall Rd, left next turnback to westbound 12 Mile, regular route.

Due to construction on the MLK Blvd bridge, the railroad crossing on South Blvd at Sanford, and on Square Lake Rd, Route 796 buses will be on detour effective Monday, August 19, 2024 until further notice as follows:

Eastbound: Regular route to southbound MLK Blvd, left South Blvd, right Centerpoint Pkwy to bus stop just west of Opdyke Rd.

Westbound: From layover left Opdyke Rd, left South Blvd, right MLK Blvd, regular route.

Due to construction on northbound Southfield Rd between Allen Rd and I-94, the following northbound bus stops will be temporarily closed effective immediately until further notice:

Due to gas line work on eastbound 9 Mile Rd just east of Hoover Rd, the bus stop at this location will be temporarily relocated 250 ft eastward effective Monday, April 1, 2024, until further notice.

Effective Monday, October 16, 2023, due to ongoing safety concerns at 12 Mile Road near Beck Road, Route 805 Grand River Park & Ride will be detoured until further notice. Modified routing is as follows:

Westbound: Regular route to Novi Road, right 12 Mile Road, left first turnback to westbound 12 Mile Road, end route at the first stop on 12 Mile Road west of Novi Road.

Eastbound: Trips will begin at the first stop on southbound Novi Road south of 12 Mile Road, outside Midas.

Service on 12 Mile Road west of Novi and to the Beck-12 carpool lot will be discontinued until further notice. 805 passengers wishing to ride into Detroit can utilize SMART’s other park & ride lots at Halsted & Hallwood (Bonaventure Skate Center), Beech-Daly & Graham (Western Graham Fields), or eastbound Schoolcraft & Fenton.

Due to construction at the corner of Maryland and Jefferson Ave, the bus stop on southbound Maryland north of Jefferson Ave has been temporarily relocated 100 ft northward, effective Monday, July 31, 2023 until further notice.

Due to road construction on Gratiot Ave between 14 Mile Rd and Wellington Crescent, the following bus stops will be temporarily closed, beginning Monday April 10, 2023 until further notice. The chart below lists all stops along this section of Gratiot, with the stops that will be closed highlighted in grey.  If your stop has been closed, please proceed to the next closest stop listed.

Westbound:  Regular route to Henry Ford Hospital main entrance, left drive to main entrance, keep left on drive left of canopy (DO NOT DRIVE UNDER CANOPY), continue left to stop, right driveway, left road to Maple Rd. (layover on gravel)
