Due to the annual Founders Parade in downtown Farmington, Route 305 Grand River will be on detour Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm or streets are clear as follows:

Northbound:  Regular route to westbound 9 Mile Rd, past Grand River Ave into Orchard Lake Rd, right Freedom, right Farmington Rd, left Grand River, regular route.

Southbound:  Regular route to eastbound Grand River, right Farmington Rd, left Freedom, left Orchard Lake, past Grand River into 9 Mile Rd, regular route.

Due to construction on Crooks Rd at 13 Mile Rd, Route 430 Main Street-Big Beaver Royal Oak High School trips will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Southbound:  Regular route to southbound Crooks Rd to Normandy Rd, left Normandy, right Main past 13 Mile Rd, regular route.

Northbound:  Regular route to northbound Main past 13 Mile Rd, left Normandy Rd, right Crooks Rd, regular route.

Passengers desiring to board/deboard at the stops on northbound and southbound bus stops on Crooks Rd must do so at the temporary stops on Normandy, just east of Crooks Rd.

Due to the Wyandotte Street Art Fair in downtown Wyandotte, on Biddle between Chestnut and Eureka Rd, Route 140 Southshore will be on detour beginning Monday, July 8, 2024 at 8:00 am, through Monday, July 15, 2024 at 8:00 am, as follows:

Southbound:  Regular route on southbound Biddle to Vinewood, right Vinewood, left 3^rd, right Eureka, regular route.

Northbound:  Regular route on eastbound Eureka, left 3^rd, right Vinewood, left Biddle, regular route.

Due to construction on County Center Dr E between Telegraph Rd and Power House Dr, Route 790 Pontiac Crosstown will be on detour effective Monday, July 8, 2024, until further notice, as follows:

Due to railroad track construction on Hilton Rd between 9 Mile Rd and Saratoga, Route 492 Rochester will be on detour effective immediately, until further notice as follows:

Northbound: Regular route on 8 Mile Rd past Lindsay Ln, right Woodward Ave Service Rd, right 9 Mile Rd, left Hilton Rd, regular route.

Southbound: Regular route on southbound Hilton Rd, right 9 Mile Rd, right Woodward Ave, left 1^st turnback to southbound Woodward Ave, keep right Woodward Ave Service Rd, left 8 Mile Service Rd, regular route.

While Lakeside Mall will be closing on Monday, July 1, 2024, the bus stop at this location will remain open until further notice. During the revitalization of the Lakeside Mall property, the bus stop will be relocated as needed. SMART will be sure to inform the public whenever the need for relocation of this bus stop arises. Once the revitalization process is complete, a permanent bus stop will be established on the property.

Due to construction on southbound Van Dyke Ave just north of 8 Mile Rd, Route 510 Van Dyke Ave will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

 Northbound: Will operate on regular route.

Southbound: Regular route on southbound Van Dyke Ave to 9 Mile Rd, right 9 Mile Rd, left Sherwood, right 8 Mile Rd, left 1^st turnback to eastbound 8 Mile Rd, past Van Dyke Ave, regular route.

Beginning June 24, 2024 Route 740 Twelve Mile will continue the same routing it has followed on Twelve Mile in front of 12 Oaks Mall and will not pull into 12 Oaks Mall until further notice. This routing is as follows:

Eastbound: Regular route past Novi Rd, continue straight to stop on eastbound 12 Mile Rd past 12 Oaks Mall Rd, regular route.

Westbound:  Regular route to westbound 12 Mile to Meadowbrook Rd, left at fourth turnback past Meadowbrook Rd at McDonald’s to eastbound 12 Mile, service eastbound stop at 12 Oaks Mall Rd, left next turnback to westbound 12 Mile, regular route.

Beginning Monday, June 24, 2024, the following routes will experience time changes to their schedules:

250 Ford Road, 255 Ford Road Express, 261 FAST Michigan, 280 Western Wayne, 415 Greenfield, 420 Southfield, 525 Groesbeck, 530 Schoenherr, 550 Garfield, 562 Gratiot, 635 Jefferson Express.

Beginning June 24, 2024 Route 495 John R no longer serve Woodward to State Fair Road but will instead use 8 Mile to John R. The routing for this extension is as follows:

Northbound: Exit left onto Ralston Ct from Jason Hargrove Transit Center, right 8 Mile, left John R, regular route.

Southbound: Regular route to 8 Mile, right 8 Mile, left Ralston, right into main entrance of Jason Hargrove Transit Center to end of route at Bay 8.

Beginning June 24, 2024 Route 710 Nine Mile will resume service on 9 Mile between Harper and Cavalier and also be extended down to Mack and Moross. The routing for this extension is as follows:

Eastbound: regular route past Harper to Cavalier, right Cavalier, right Greater Mack, end route on Mack just south of Moross.

Westbound: Begin route at stop in front of Shell station on northbound Mack north of Moross, left Cavalier, left 9 Mile, regular route.

Beginning Monday June 24, 2024, Route 759 Highland Road will begin service between Oakland University main campus and Bogie Lake Meijer on weekdays and Saturdays. Routing is as follows:

Westbound: O.U. circle drive, Squirrel, Walton, Perry, the Phoenix Center, Huron, Highland Rd. Last stop on Highland just past Meijer Express.

Eastbound: route begins at the westbound Meijer Express stop, U-turn to eastbound Highland Rd, Huron, the Phoenix Center, Perry, Walton, Squirrel, and O.U. circle drive.

Beginning June 24, 2024 Route 790 Pontiac Crosstown will no longer serve the stops in downtown Auburn Hills between Squirrel Court and Squirrel. It will continue straight on Squirrel through the traffic circle and continue east on Auburn. The routing will be as follows:

Eastbound: Regular route on westbound Auburn from Adams, right Squirrel, keep straight through traffic circle, regular route.

Westbound: Regular route to southbound Squirrel, keep straight through traffic circle to second right to continue on southbound Squirrel, left Auburn, regular route.

Due to construction at the intersection of 23 and Gratiot Route 560 Gratiot trips to New Baltimore ONLY will be detoured as follows:

Northbound trips to New Baltimore:  Regular route on northbound Gratiot to Cotton, right Cotton, serve temporary stop on eastbound Cotton, third left to northbound Waterside, keep right at traffic circle to continue on northbound Waterside, right 23 Mile, regular route.

Southbound trips from New Baltimore: Regular route past I-94, left Waterside, keep straight through traffic circle to remain on southbound Waterside, right Cotton, left Gratiot, regular route.

Temporary stops will be installed for northbound trips to New Baltimore on eastbound Cotton east of Gratiot and for southbound trips from New Baltimore on southbound Waterside just south of 23 Mile.

Due to a routing change in the vicinity of Northland Dr, Route 405 Northwestern Hwy will be on detour effective immediately until further notice, as follows:

Westbound:  Regular route on westbound 8 Mile Rd past Greenfield Rd, right Northwestern Hwy Service Drive, to stop just north of Northland Dr, regular route.

Eastbound:  Regular route to southbound Greenfield, right Northland Dr, right Northwestern Hwy Service Drive, left 1^st turnback to southbound Northwestern Hwy Service Drive, left 8 Mile Service Rd, regular route.

Due to construction on Lakeview Dr at Somerset Mall, Routes 460 Woodward and 780 15 Mile Crosstown trips will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

460 Southbound:   Will operate on regular route.

460 Northbound and 780 Eastbound & Westbound:  Regular route to eastbound Golfview Dr, left 2^nd turnback into driveway to mall, right just before parking deck through parking lot, left 1^st aisle, left service road, regular route.

Due to construction on Lakeview Dr at Somerset Mall, Route 461 FAST Woodward will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Southbound: Regular route on westbound Big Beaver Rd past Lakeview Dr, left 1^st turnback past Coolidge Hwy to eastbound Big Beaver Rd, right Coolidge Hwy, left Golfview Dr, left 2^nd turnback into driveway to mall, right just before parking deck through parking lot, left 1^st aisle, left service road, regular route.

Northbound: Regular route to eastbound Golfview Dr, left 2^nd turnback into driveway to mall, right just before parking deck through parking lot, left 1^st aisle, left service road to Somerset bus stop, continue around to Golfview Dr, right Golfview Dr, right Coolidge Hwy, right Big Beaver Rd past Lakeview Dr, regular route.

Due to construction on eastbound 9 Mile Rd in the intersection of Gratiot Ave, Route 710 Nine Mile will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Westbound:  Will operate on regular route.

Eastbound:  Regular route on eastbound 9 Mile Rd to Gratiot Ave, right Gratiot Ave, left 1^st turnback past Toepfer Dr to northbound Gratiot Ave, right Toepfer Dr, left Kelly Rd, right 9 Mile Rd, regular route.

Drivers should be prepared to pick up and drop off along the detour route at any SMART bus stop, and any other location where a passenger flags the driver, and it is safe to do so.

Due to the construction on westbound Marketplace Circle, Route 790 buses will be on detour effective immediately, as follows:

Westbound: Begin trip on eastbound Marketplace Circle across from the stop in front of the Extended Stay America, right Adams Rd past Marketplace Circle, regular route.

Eastbound: Regular route to eastbound Adams Rd, left first entrance to Marketplace Circle, last stop across from the stop in front of Walmart.

Passengers desiring to board and deboard on Marketplace Circle may do so directly across from the assigned bus stops.

Due to unforeseen issues all stops between on 9 Mile between Harper and Jefferson will not be served by Route 710 Nine Mile. Please note Route 615 Jefferson will still be serving regular stops assigned to that route. All 710 Nine Mile trips will begin and end on 9 Mile west of Harper.

Eastbound: End route at stop on 9 Mile, west of Harper in front of Kroger building.

Westbound: Begin route at bus shelter on westbound 9 Mile, just west of Harper.

Due to construction on westbound 9 Mile Rd, west of Evergreen Rd, Route 710 Nine Mile will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Westbound:  Regular route on westbound 9 Mile Rd to Evergreen Rd, right Evergreen Rd, left Northwestern Hwy Service Dr, left 10 Mile Rd, left Lahser Rd, right 9 Mile Rd, regular route.

Eastbound:  Will operate on regular route.

Eastbound:With the exception of the MLK bridge detour, will operate on regular route.

Westbound: From layover, continue northbound on Centerpoint Pkwy to South Blvd, left South Blvd. right Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, regular route.

Due to construction on westbound Grand River Ave, east of Wixom Rd, Routes 305 Grand River and 740 Twelve Mile Crosstown will be on detour effective immediately until further notice as follows:

Northbound 305 and Westbound 740:  Regular route to Beck Rd, right Beck Rd, left West Rd, left Wixom Rd, right Grand River Ave, regular route.

Southbound 305 and Eastbound 740:  Will operate on regular route.

Due to gas line work on eastbound 9 Mile Rd just east of Hoover Rd, the bus stop at this location will be temporarily relocated 250 ft eastward effective Monday, April 1, 2024, until further notice.

Due to construction work on 8 Mile Rd at Telegraph Rd, and northbound Telegraph between Grand River Ave and 7 Mile Rd, Routes 275 & 375 will be on detour effective Friday, March 22, 2024, until further notice as follows.

Northbound 275: Regular route on Telegraph Rd, right Grand River Ave, left 1^st turnback to westbound Grand River Ave past Telegraph Rd, right Winston, left 7 Mile Rd, regular route.

Due to construction on the Southfield Rd bridge over the Ecorse River, Route 140 Southshore will be on detour beginning Tuesday, January 9, 2024 until further notice as follows:

Southbound:  Regular route on southbound Southfield Rd to Fort, right Fort, left 1^st turnback to northbound Fort, right Outer Dr, right Jefferson Ave past Southfield Rd, regular route.

Northbound:  Regular route on Jefferson Ave past Southfield Rd, left Outer Dr, right Fort, left 1^st turnback to southbound Fort, right Southfield Rd, regular route.

Southbound passengers desiring to board/deboard at the stop on eastbound Southfield Rd just east of Fort, may do so at the stop on northbound Fort, just north of Southfield Rd. Northbound passengers desiring to board/deboard at the stop on westbound Southfield Rd just west of Jefferson Ave, may do so at the temporary stop on northbound Jefferson Ave, just north of Southfield Rd.

Effective Monday, October 16, 2023, due to ongoing safety concerns at 12 Mile Road near Beck Road, Route 805 Grand River Park & Ride will be detoured until further notice. Modified routing is as follows:

Westbound: Regular route to Novi Road, right 12 Mile Road, left first turnback to westbound 12 Mile Road, end route at the first stop on 12 Mile Road west of Novi Road.

Eastbound: Trips will begin at the first stop on southbound Novi Road south of 12 Mile Road, outside Midas.

Service on 12 Mile Road west of Novi and to the Beck-12 carpool lot will be discontinued until further notice. 805 passengers wishing to ride into Detroit can utilize SMART’s other park & ride lots at Halsted & Hallwood (Bonaventure Skate Center), Beech-Daly & Graham (Western Graham Fields), or eastbound Schoolcraft & Fenton.

Due to construction on the MLK Blvd bridge, Route 796 buses will be on detour effective Monday, July 3, 2023 until further notice as follows:

Eastbound: Regular route to southbound MLK Blvd, right South Blvd, right Woodward Ave, left 1^st turnback to  southbound Woodward Ave, past MLK Blvd, regular route.

Westbound: Regular route to northbound Woodward Ave past MLK Blvd, right South Blvd, left MLK Blvd, regular route.

Due to road construction on Gratiot Ave between 14 Mile Rd and Wellington Crescent, the following bus stops will be temporarily closed, beginning Monday April 10, 2023 until further notice. The chart below lists all stops along this section of Gratiot, with the stops that will be closed highlighted in grey.  If your stop has been closed, please proceed to the next closest stop listed.

Due to the water main construction on westbound Grand River Ave between I-275 and Haggerty Rd, the bus stop located on Grand River just west of I-275 will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, September 9, 2022 until further notice.
